Fantasy Authors Refresh

FANTASY AUTHOR’S REFRESH Time to replace and refresh Fantasy Author’s Handbook! I’ve made a number of long overdue changes to Fantasy Author’s Handbook, principally hunting down old hyperlinks, pages that are exhibiting their age, and so on. I’m not changing any content material or deleting any posts, just cleansing it up somewhat so FAH continues to be simple to access, and still filled with all of the content I’ve spent nearly eleven years gathering. First off, I’ve stated goodbye to the ASK PHIL page, which by no means actually did what I hoped it would do. If you’re not even certain what I’m talking about, well… that just about says it all. I’ve up to date my bio, which you’ll find above (or right here) at Philip Athans, which was so old it didn’t even include Writing Monsters, and said I have a huge collection of CDs, which have long since been downloaded and sold off. Anyway, now you understand extra about me than you might ever have to. I up to date the Welcome to Fantasy Autho r’s Handbook page to ask for a little assist preserving things afloat, particularly as the COVID-19 quarantine grinds on: Fantasy Author’s Handbook is brought to you free of cost, but I do invite you to donate utilizing the button to the right. If you'll be able to spare a one-time donation of $5, $20, or possibly $5 a month, that would actually help maintain Fantasy Author’s Handbook happily handbooking into the 2020s. I went by way of all the hyperlinks on the best facet of the page and was unhappy to see all these visitor posts I wrote for Grasping for the Wind have disappeared with the weblog itself. I still have the textual content, although, and can revise and repost the best of them here within the months ahead. I hope they’re no less than a little higher organized, and anyway, as of right now no less than, they all really work! I made slightly listing of locations the place you can find me: Follow me on Twitter @PhilAthans… Link up with me on LinkedIn… Friend me on GoodReads… Or contact me for enhancing, teaching, ghostwriting, and more at Athans & Associates Creative Consulting. I’ll ultimately paste that on to the top of older posts, however that’s going to take a while, with 574 posts and counting. In any case, there’s your chance to hook up with me should you haven’t already. It’s been some time since the post that defined “Advice for Manufacturers of Hokum” so I went forward and altered that again to “Advice for authors of fantasy, science fiction, and horror,” for readability’s sake. Next up shall be a way too long overdue replace of the INDEX web page, whereby you’ll discover links to all 574 posts going back to June 2009. If you haven’t poked around that at least slightly, do it as soon as possible… there just could be aBest of Fantasy Author’s Handbook book in the future that will acquire the extra popular and helpful older posts from the first 5 years, and the total text of those posts will not be ava ilable right here. Of course, it might be a while earlier than that’s on sale, but nonetheless… what else have you ever received to do whereas in quarantine? A lot… I know. Thank you for spending slightly of that point right here, and I’ll see you again subsequent Tuesday, and the Tuesday after that, and the Tuesday after that, and… â€"Philip Athans Follow me on Twitter @PhilAthans… Link up with me on LinkedIn… Friend me on GoodReads… Or contact me for enhancing, teaching, ghostwriting, and extra at Athans & Associates Creative Consulting. About Philip Athans I personal both of those books and I will say, in my honest opinion, they are each worth your time.
